Donald Woods (D. W.) Winnicott had an intuitive gift for being with children.
Lesley Caldwell, one of the General Editors of The Collected Works of D. W. Winnicott, member of the British Psychoanalytic Association, reflects on Winnicott’s work with children, and what it could offer today in situations such as children on their own, child refugees, and unaccompanied children. I have been studying Winnicott for quite sometime, and his reflections not only within child development, but regarding mothers, family attachments, teenagers, among several topics he has published, amazes me on how approachable he is.
