About Me

I am a psychoanalyst from Brazil, currently living in Singapore, where I settled my own practice and joined several associations related to Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy. I like to work with individuals, families, couples, and teenagers, and I also give workshops on family matters, immigration challenges and parental guidance. I started my journey through Freud & Lacan, but today I gather to my work broader concepts of psychoanalysis of contemporary thinkers like Winnicott, Ferenczi, the relational thinkers like Lewis Aron, Steve Mitchell and Joyce Slochower. I give supervision on the psychoanalytical approach to psychotherapy, and I am currently pursuing Supervision Accreditation by the Australian Counselling Association Pathway. Added to my completed graduate studies in Psychoanalysis in Brazil,  I have also studied in William Alanson White Institute in NY for Interpersonal Approach, and more recently added specialisation studies in Neuroscience at King's College and Psychology at the University of Exeter. I was a lecturer/speaker at several conferences of IARPP (International Association of Relational Psychotherapy and Psychotherapy) at Tel Aviv University (2019) and UCLA (2022), the International Forum of Psychoanalysis (Lisbon 2020), and the National Conference of Psychotherapy in Singapore (2022).

In Couples Counselling, I completed the Couples Studies program from Tavistock Clinic (UK), added studies from the Winnicotian perspective for couples, the Gottman Method as well as Sue Johnson's EFT for couples. I take part in the professional supervision Sessions with Esther Perel. I believe that when working with couples, we must dig into family patterns, attachments, communication skills, and intimacy capability in order to understand that there is no perfect model, but the goal is to achieve something that is good for them only.

My compromise is to always be learning and updated among the recent theories and modalities, filtering what is serious and what is relevant to a deeper construction with my patients that can result on good understanding of themselves. I don’t believe in BandAid therapy, or any method of “easy psychotherapy” as I believe we have to dig deeper to understand past patterns and the underlying reasons why we put ourselves in situations that we would like to be different. I believe there are therapeutical tools and techniques very helpful in specific phases of our lives, but I do believe everyone should allow themselves into the experience of going through the psychoanalysis journey so one can have a better understanding of themselves.

Although it may sound harsh, I do have an empathic observation of what is brought from my patients, and we constantly work together on alternative solutions, possibilities and scenarios. I am an accessible therapist who does desire a lot of good outcomes to my patients.

If you feel we can give yourself a shot, let’s put your life in different perspectives.
